Trail Ridge Middle School boys track team takes Louisburg meet title

Posting five first place finishes, the Trail Ridge Middle School seventh grade boys track team took top honors in the Louisburg triangular last week.
Owen Krouch grabbed gold in the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 18.56 seconds, while Brett Harding took first in the 100 meters in 12.56 seconds. Harding also took first in the long jump.
Laine Meyer won the discus with a toss of 88 feet 1-inch. The other gold went to the 400 relay team of Cooper Cox, Meyer, Atticus Ramsey, and Harding.
The eighth girls took second place.
Gold medals went to Amy Kamtio with a high jump of 4-feet 7-inches, and Kennedy Cornstock in the 400 meters. Saviah Hull won the 200 meters in 28.75 seconds, and the medley team of Skyler Falkner, Cornstock, Kamtio and Turner also took gold.
The eighth grade boys took third place.
Jacob Hunsperger won the long jump with a 16-feet 9-inch effort. He also took gold in the 400 meters, crossing the finish line in 55.0 seconds. The medley relay of Carter Keehn, Pat Beane, Jonah May, and Hunsperger also took gold.
